Summer Reading at the all member libraries of the Adams County Library System, including the Littlestown Library, is an 8 week program designed to get kids excited about reading! Reading over the summer helps students keep the skills they learn in school sharp and helps get them ready to learn next school year.
The program begins with registration during the week of June 2nd. Children who read for a minimum of 2 hours per week can then hand in their prize ticket to redeem that weeks prize, beginning with Week 1 starting June 9th. There is no minimum age to sign up for Summer Reading; children who are read to can also participate! Last day to claim prizes is August 2nd. There are also a series of special events and programs based around the theme of Summer Reading, “Catch The Reading Bug!”
The Littlestown Library is located at 46 E. King St., next to Alpha Fire Company. Parking is available in the rear of the building.
