Littlestown Library – The Cabin Fever Cure!

Keith Greenawalt, Littlestown Librarian

As the weather outside turns colder and summer continues to fade into a memory, do you find yourself looking for something to do? Do you want to prevent cabin fever before it comes? Well, how about something from the Littlestown Library to chase away the cold weather blues! The Littlestown Library has a selection of DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and of course good old fashion books to help keep you busy! If you don’t know what you want, Mr. Keith (that’s me) or Mr. Steve would be more then happy to assist you in preventing cold weather boredom!

Not only does the Library have some really cool stuff, we also have programs to keep your sanity intact! For the younger set, we have our weekly storytime with Miss Rose every Wednesday at 11:30 AM. For those teens to cool for storytime, we have our monthly teen movie. In November it will take place on 1 PM on Saturday, Nov 22nd. Snacks are provided to assuage your hunger pangs. For adults we have our monthly adult book discussion group that meets (generally) on the third Friday of the month at 11:00 AM. On November 21, the group will be discussing Red Scarf Girl by Ji-Li Liang. Liang writes a memoir of growing up in China during the Cultural Revolution. For more information on any of these programs, cal the Library at 359 0446. The Library, and all of ACLS, will also be a host site for the Great American Health Check on November 13 from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM. For more information on this event please call the local chapter of the American Cancer Society at 334-0697.
